On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM, Troopers arrested Kevin Ventura, age 39, of 12 Coogan Court, West Warwick, Rhode Island, for Willful Trespassing. This arrest was the result of an investigation into a disturbance at the Sixth Division District Court. Ventura was arraigned and released pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.
On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 1:21 PM, Troopers arrested John Cancel, age 53, of 22 Marlborough Avenue, Floor #1, Providence, Rhode Island, on a Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Disorderly Conduct originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street, in the City of Providence. Cancel was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to the Sixth Division District Court.
On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 6:29 PM, Troopers arrested Michael Silva, age 38, of 10 John Street, North Providence, Rhode Island, for Child Abuse - Second Degree. This arrest was the result of an investigation and Silva surrendering himself to the Lincoln Woods Barracks. Silva was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.
On Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 12:48 AM, Troopers arrested Yadiel R. Arciliares, age 18, of 34 Phebe Street, Apartment 2A, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Possession of a Stolen Vehicle – First Offense; and 2.) Possession of Marijuana >2 Ounces
