On Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 10:07 PM, Troopers arrested James Gomes, age 49, of 50 Hawkins Street, Floor #3, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs B.A.C Unknown – First Offense; and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle crash investigation on Appian Street, in the City of Providence. Gomes was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released pending future date at the Sixth Division District Court.
On Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 10:38 PM, Troopers arrested Jerlaiza A. Gonzalez, age 22, of 16 Young Street, Apartment 12, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and Conspiracy originating out of the Lincoln Woods Barracks. This arrest was the result of an investigation and Gonzalez being located by the East Providence Police Department. Gonzalez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.
