On Thursday, August 6, 2026, at approximately 6:00 AM, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Luis Escano Reynoso, age 21, of 94 Hamilton Street - 2nd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island, for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Middletown Police Department for Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force. Mr. Escano Reynoso was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Middletown Police Department.
On Thursday, August 6, 2026, at approximately 7:00 AM, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Pedro Faria, age 62, of 13 Watson Street - 2nd Floor, Central Falls, Rhode Island, for the following: 1.) Providence County Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Arraignment Conference on the original charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V originating from the East Providence Police Department, 2.) Providence County District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V originating from the East Providence Police Department, and 3.) Providence County District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V originating from the East Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force. Mr. Faria was taken into custody without incident and transported to Providence Superior Court.
On Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:30 AM, the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Christopher Charette, age 36, of 135 Frankfort Street, Cranston, Rhode Island for Larceny Under $1,500. The arrest was the result of a larceny investigation conducted by members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit. Mr. Charette was taken into custody at Bally's Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort, transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing, and then transported to Third District Court for arraignment.
On August 6, 2026, at approximately 6:30 AM, members of the Computer Crimes Unit arrested Jesse Ake, age 40, of 211 Columbus Avenue, Apartment 127, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for 1) Possession of Ghost Guns (35 counts) and 2.) Possession of Large Capacity Magazines (11 counts). Mr. Ake was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and transported to Sixth Division District Court. Mr. Ake was arraigned before the Honorable Magistrate Goulart, where bail was set at $25,000 with surety.
