At 2:25 PM, Troopers arrested Nicholas Stevens, age 40, of 12 Terrybrook Road, Rehoboth, Massachusetts for 1.) Possession of a Schedule I-V – Controlled Substance – Ten Grams or Less (Crack Cocaine). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 146 in the Town of North Smithfield. The subject was transported to State Police – Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men's Intake Center where he was held pending morning arraignment at Sixth District Court where he will be presented as a probation violator.
At 6:00 PM, Troopers arrested Richard Peavey, age 59, of 36A Batterson Avenue, Westerly, Rhode Island for 1.) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses – Over $1,500 (4 Counts) and 2.) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses – Under $1,500 (2 Counts). The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Financial Crimes Unit and the Westerly Police Department locating the subject. The subject was transported to State Police - Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released with a future arraignment date.
At 1:24 AM, Troopers arrested Kaley Norris, age 35, of 90 Pembroke Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – BAC Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Valley Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Sixth Division District Court date.
