At 10:22 AM, Troopers arrested Kristin Ulmschneider age 52, of 50 Andrew Comstock Road, Warwick, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Reckless Driving and Other Offenses Against Public Safety – 1st Offense, and 2.) Eluding Law Enforcement, Vehicle in a High-Speed Pursuit – 1st Offense, originating out of the Rhode Island State Police Hope Valley Barracks. The arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation and the Warren Police Department subsequently locating Ms. Ulmschneider. Ms. Ulmschneider was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Fourth District Court date.
At 8:30 PM, Troopers arrested Manjay Turay, age 37, of 29 Alfred Avenue, Johnston, Rhode Island for 1.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses/Personation > $10,000, 2.) False Statement to Obtain Replacement Public Assistance Check > $500 and 3.) Fraudulently Obtain Public Assistance > $500. The arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation and the Johnston Police Department locating Turay. Turay was transported to State Police- Headquarters where she was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court date.
