On Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 1:45 PM, Troopers arrested Geiler Almarales Grimont, age 34, of 13 Belmont Avenue, Apartment #2, Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Hope Valley Barracks for 1.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses/Personation > $1,500.00 $1,000.00, and 4.) Access to Computer for Fraudulent Purposes. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and Troopers locating Mr. Almarales Grimont at his residence. Mr. Almarales Grimont was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third District Court Date.
On Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 11:53 PM, Troopers arrested Daniel I. Poroj Lopez, age 24, of 345 Orms Street, Apartment 3, Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant issued by the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks for Obstructing a Police Officer in the Execution of Duty. The arrest was the result of an investigation by Trooper Mattera and the subject being located during a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Avenue, in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to State Police – Headquarters, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
On Friday, September 18, 2026 at 12:33 AM, Troopers arrested Chelsey N. Largy, age 34, of 38 Prospect Hill Avenue, West Warwick, Rhode Island, for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC .15 or Greater – First Offense (Phase I: 0.154% & Phase II: 0.152%). The subject was transported to State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where she was processed, and held pending arraignment at Fourth Division District Court, where she will be presented as a violator.
