On Friday, September 18, 2026, at approximately 6:30 AM, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Providence Police Department Intelligence Unit arrested Akinyemi Akinsurline, age 33, of 33 Monticello Street 1st Floor, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Providence Police Department for Violation of a Domestic Violence Restraining Order and Violation of a Domestic Violence No Contact Order 2) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the North Providence Police Department for Violation of a Domestic Violence No Contact Order. The arrest was the result of a joint investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force. Mr. Akinsurline was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Providence Police Department.
At 9:00 a.m., members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Billiejo Jean Bedillion, age 52, of 249 Willoughby Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, for: 1.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses - Over $10,000, 2.) Giving False Documents to a Public Official, 3.) Identity Fraud, and 4.) Bank Fraud. This arrest was the result of an investigation by the Financial Crimes Unit and the issuance of an extraditable arrest warrant. Ms. Bedillion was taken into custody in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and extradited to Rhode Island, where she was arraigned at Third Division District Court by the Honorable Judge Ippolito, assigned $30,000 / surety bail, and admitted to the Adult Correctional Institutions - Women's Intake Center.
On Friday, September 18, 2026, at 9:00 PM, the Gaming Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arrested Sech Chiu, age 59, of 17 Sycamore Road, Norwich, Connecticut, for 1.) Casino Gaming - Cheat to Take or Collect Anything of Value, 2.) Access to Computer for Fraudulent Purposes, and 3.) Conspiracy (2 counts). The arrest was the result of a Gaming Enforcement Unit investigation for incidents which occurred at Bally's Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort between the dates of August 16, 2026 - September 1, 2026, and securing an arrest warrant for Mr. Chiu. Mr. Chiu was taken into custody at Bally's Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort. Mr. Chiu was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Crawford and released on $20,000 personal recognizance.
On Friday, September 18, 2026, at 11:00 PM, the Gaming Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arrested Cheng Chen, age 58, of 731 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island, for 1.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses or Personation Under $1,500 and 2.) Conspiracy. The arrest was the result of a Gaming Enforcement Unit investigation for incidents which occurred at Bally's Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort between the dates of August 16, 2026 - September 1, 2026, and securing an arrest warrant for Mr. Chen. Mr. Chen was located at Bally's Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort and taken into custody. Mr. Chen was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Crawford and released on $2,000 personal recognizance.
