On Monday, September 28, 2026, at 7:15 AM, troopers arrested Shayla Romero, age 27, of 219 Putnam Pike, Johnston, Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Obstructing an Officer in the Execution of Duty originating out of the Rhode Island State Police – Scituate Barracks. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation conducted by members of the Scituate Barracks, and the subject turning herself into the Scituate Barracks. The subject was processed and later transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment
