On Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 12:49 AM, troopers arrested Gary Chamberland, age 47, of 64 Golden View Drive, Johnston, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of a Schedule I to V Controlled Substance – 10 Grams or Less (Fentanyl). The arrest was the result of troopers observing a narcotics transaction on Cranston Street in the City of Cranston. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
