At 10:35 AM, Troopers arrested Awin R. Duran, age 19, of 148 Ohio Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Domestic Violence – Simple Assault, and 2.) Domestic Violence – Disorderly Conduct. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a disturbance at the Department of Motor Vehicles. The subject was transported to the State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed and transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.
At 5:21 AM, Troopers arrested Derrick Hicks, age 35, of 67 Oakdale Street, Apartment 7, Attleboro, Massachusetts, for 1.) Reckless Driving – 1st Offense, and 2.) Eluding Law Enforcement – Vehicle in High-Speed Pursuit 1st Offense. The arrest was the result of an attempted motor vehicle stop, and Troopers subsequently located the vehicle at General Dynamics in the Town of North Kingstown. The subject was transported to the State Police- Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed and later transported to Sixth Division District Court for Arraignment.
