On Thursday, October 8, 2026, at approximately 6:15 AM, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Lina Silverheart, age 35, of 41 Adams Street, North Providence, Rhode Island, on a Newport County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on a charge of 1st Degree Sexual Assault originating out of the Portsmouth Police Department. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force. Ms. Silverheart was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Portsmouth Police Department.
On October 8, 2026 at approximately 4:30 AM, members of the HIDTA Task Force and the Cranston Police Special Investigations Unit arrested Eric Thomas, age 24, of 10 Oak Street, Cranston, for 1) Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Crack Cocaine, 2) Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - fentanyl, 3) Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Controlled Substance Violation, 4) Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons Prohibited, 5) Large Capacity Feeding Devices Prohibited (2 counts). The arrest was the result of search warrants executed at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation. Mr. Thomas was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and transported to 6th District Court for arraignment.
On October 8, 2026 at approximately 4:30 AM, members of the HIDTA Task Force and Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Angell Martinez, age 20, of 43 Ridgeway Avenue, Providence, for 1) Possession with the Intent to Deliver One Ounce to One Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine, 2) Possession with the Intent to Deliver One Ounce to One Kilogram of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl, 3) Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine, 4) Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl, 5) Possession with the Intent to Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance - Marijuana, 6) Controlled Substance Conspiracy. The arrest was the result of search warrants executed at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation.
