On October 9, 2026 at 5:10 p.m., troopers arrested Anne Varisco, age 51, of 82 Warner Street, Newport, Rhode Island, for 1) Access to Computer for Fraudulent Purposes; and 2) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses/Personation > 10,000. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and the subject turning herself in at the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks. The subject was processed, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
On October 9, 2026 at 10:42 p.m., troopers arrested Eric Forant, age 47, of 605 Main Street, Apartment 2F, Pawtucket, Rhode Island on a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Review on the original charge of Forgery and Counterfeiting, originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Street in the Town of West Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men's Intake Center.
