At 1:12 AM, Troopers arrested Donnell Smith, age 36, of 50 Burns Street, Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Domestic Violence – Simple Assault originating out of Providence Police Department, 2.) Domestic Violence – Criminal Violation of a No Contact Order – 2nd Offense. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Avenue in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to State Police – Headquarters where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment/presentment as a probation violator at Sixth Division District Court.
