At 1:29 PM, Troopers arrested Juan Hernandez Gonzalez, age 31, of 135 Laura Street, Apartment B, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses/Personation - Over $10,000 and 2.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Attorney General – Rule 9 on the charge of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses - Over $10,000. The arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation and the subject being located by the Johnston Police Department. The subject was transported to State Police – Headquarters, where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men's Intake Center.
At 8:27 PM, Troopers arrested Fernando Mendez, age 57, of 105 Hillcrest Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island for Operating on Foreign License During Suspension in this State. The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and a subsequent motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to State Police – Headquarters, where he was processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
At 2:42 AM, Troopers arrested Kimberly Chitic, age 27, of 150 Burnett Street, Fl. 1, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test – First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Messer Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the State Police - Lincoln Woods barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Sixth Division District Court Date.
