PROVIDENCE— Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts issued a statement today following Rhode Island College President John Nazarian’s announcement of his retirement earlier this afternoon.
“For over 57 years, President Nazarian has been a powerful driving force in Rhode Island’s educational system, shaping our state’s education policy and putting Rhode Island College on the national map of higher education. It has been a pleasure working with him during my time in government, and I want to wish him all the best as he embarks on this new chapter of his life. President Nazarian has positively impacted the lives of so many thousands of students during his time at Rhode Island College and he will be sorely missed.”
