The Department of Administration today announced the successful bidders for janitorial service contracts previously held by Tri-State and Falcon. The contracts were awarded as a result of an open, competitive procurement process for janitorial services initiated by the Department of Administration. The term for the emergency contracts is 90 days, allowing the Department to conduct a full bid process for services.
The new contracts will save the State approximately $14,000 per month. The savings are a result of modified specifications for some of the buildings serviced. In addition, many awards were made to minority-owned and non-profit providers. The new vendors will begin providing janitorial services by Wednesday, August 13, 2008.
