PROVIDENCE— Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts will meet Monday, May 4th with state health and emergency management officials at a special convening of the Emergency Management Advisory Council (EMAC), a group which Roberts chairs.

Roberts will bring together EMAC members to receive a briefing from Health Department Director Dr. David Gifford on the state’s plans and response to the swine flu emergency. Lt. Gov. Roberts and state emergency management officials will also discuss steps being taken to ensure that common operational procedures and open lines of communication take place in managing swine flu in Rhode Island.
