Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts, Major General Robert T. Bray to Honor Fallen Rhode Islanders at Garden of Heroes Ceremony

PROVIDENCE— Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts will be joined by Gov. Donald Carcieri and Major General Robert T. Bray this Saturday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. on the southwest lawn of the State House to honor fallen Rhode Islanders LTJG Francis L. Toner IV and PS3 Ronald A. Gill, Jr., at the Garden of Heroes dedication ceremony. Senator Jack Reed will also be in attendance.

Roberts, Carcieri and Bray will be joined by the Gold Star families to add Toner and Gill’s names to the 19 other service men and women included on the monument at the Garden of Heroes. The Garden of Heroes was officially dedicated in 2005 to “Rhode Island service members who made the ultimate sacrifice during operations in support of the global war on terrorism since September 11, 2001.”
