The Kent County Grand Jury handed up an indictment Tuesday, June 16, naming Marcos Rodriguez on one count of first-degree child molestation and one count of second-degree child molestation. It is alleged that Rodriguez committed one crime of first-degree child molestation and one crime of second-degree child molestation on a victim 14 years of age or under on or about March 23, 2009. The alleged incidents took place in West Warwick. West Warwick Police conducted the investigation. The defendant, who is currently held without bail at the ACI, will be arraigned in Kent County Superior Court on June 26, 2009.

Bryan Pacheco, DOB: 2/28/75 50 Lexington Avenue West Warwick, RI K1-2009-0339A

The Kent County Grand Jury handed up a secret indictment Tuesday, June 16, naming Bryan Pacheco on three counts of third-degree sexual assault. It is alleged that Pacheco committed three crimes of third-degree sexual assault on a victim over the age of 14 and under the age of 16, between the dates of Apr. 1, 2006, and June 30, 2006. The alleged incidents occurred in West Warwick. Rhode Island State Police conducted the investigation. After screening this case, the Attorney General’s Office presented it to the grand jury, resulting in the secret indictment. “Secret” refers to the fact that neither an arrest nor a District Court complaint generated the indictment. Pacheco will be arraigned in Kent County Superior Court on June 26, 2009.

Christina Durand, DOB: 5/1/67 385 Moosehorn Road East Greenwich, RI K1-2009-0340A

The Kent County Grand Jury handed up an indictment Tuesday, June 16, naming Christina Durand on three counts of third-degree sexual assault. It is alleged that Durand committed three crimes of third-degree sexual assault on a victim over the age of 14 and under the age of 16, between the dates of Jan. 1, 2008, and Apr. 30, 2008. All of the alleged incidents occurred in West Warwick. West Warwick Police conducted the investigation. Durand will be arraigned in Kent County Superior Court on June 26, 2009.
