A representative of the national Red Cross will join the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Red Cross and Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts, Chair of the Emergency Management Advisory Council to hold a briefing Thursday, April 1 at 10:00 a.m., with the latest update on Red Cross emergency shelters that have opened in response to severe flooding statewide.
The local Red Cross is also emphasizing the importance of Rhode Islanders helping their neighbors who are in distress by making donations to its emergency fund for shelters and flood relief. Donations can be made online at www.riredcross.org, or by calling 401-831-7700.
