Text Don't Phone on Your Cell Phone During an Emergency

Text Don’t Phone During The Storm

Texting uses an analog system that allows messages to be stored if lines are overloaded and eventually be delivered, assuming communications towers are standing. It is essential to minimize calls or texts to allow emergency responders to access existing communications systems in saving lives. Texting takes up a fraction of the bandwidth of a phone call so remember, "Text, don't Phone during an emergency."
