"I applaud Attorney General Kilmartin's opposition to the most recent request for a direct pay rate increase by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island. I join him in calling on Blue Cross to hold costs and premiums at the absolute minimum. Blue Cross should be leading us forward with effective approaches to containing costs in our healthcare system, not requesting rate increases of close to 10% from those who can least afford it," said Lt. Governor Roberts.
