Christine Imbriglio of East Greenwich Recognized in February 4th Annual Employee Awards Ceremony

Christine Imbriglio of East Greenwich, RI, Probation and Parole Supervisor in Kent County, was among 29 Rhode Island Department of Corrections employees from all three of the Department’s divisions and five “Friends of the Department” recognized for their outstanding contributions during 2010 at the Department’s Annual Employee Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, February 4th, 2011.

Ms. Imbriglio was the recipient of the 2010 Community Corrections Award, which honors a staff member who best exemplifies the mission of Community Corrections and whose qualities include outstanding work performance, dedication, loyalty, and initiative.

Assistant Director of Rehabilitative Services Roberta Richman presented the award, describing Ms. Imbriglio as someone who “whose enthusiasm and willingness to do any part of your work cheerfully inspires your staff do what they might think is the impossible.” Ms. Imbriglio was described as someone who consistently thinks outside of the box and from the start has embraced the Department’s commitment to ensuring that offenders return to their home communities with as much likelihood of success as possible. She has forged partnerships with police departments and social service agencies in Kent County and has been a key leader in the prisoner reentry effort in that community. Among her many accomplishments, Ms. Imbriglio has reached her goal of co-locating West Bay Community Action staff in the Kent County Superior Court Probation Office to provide case management and employment services.

Ms. Imbriglio has consistently displayed her dedication and loyalty to the Department during her 22-year career in corrections. She is a graduate of Salve Regina University.
