Joseph Cataldo of Smithfield, R.I., Technical Support Specialist, was among 29 Rhode Island Department of Corrections employees from all three of the Department’s divisions and five “Friends of the Department” recognized for their outstanding contributions during 2010 at the Department’s Annual Employee Awards Ceremony on Friday, February 4th, 2011.
Mr. Cataldo was the recipient of the 2010 Exemplary Service Award, which is designed to honor those staff members who best exemplify the qualities that enable the Division of Administration to provide critical support to all departmental operations.
Assistant Director of Administration Ellen Evans Alexander presented the award, citing Joe’s positive attitude, willingness to help others, professionalism, courteousness, patience and dedication to the needs of the RIDOC. She described Mr. Cataldo as someone who “never cuts corners, is trustworthy and a loyal team player.
