On July 15, 2011, at 1:45 PM , members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Juan G. Catala, age 36 of 123 Ohio Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island for 1) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses over $500 ($59,579.47), 2) Identity Theft and 3) Conspiracy. This was a result of a four (4) month mortgage fraud and identity theft investigation by members of the Financial Crimes Unit. Catala was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, transported to 6th Division, arraigned before Judge Voccolla and released on $10,000 W/S.

Bell, age 37, of 34 Meadow Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island for 1) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses over $500 ($109,537.82), 2) Identity Theft and 3) Conspiracy. This was a result of a four (4) month mortgage fraud and identity theft investigation by members of the Financial Crimes Unit. Catala was processed and arraigned at State Police Lincoln Barracks by JP Lennon and released on $10,000 PR.
