Secretary of State Mollis, RIEDC Offer Free Workshop on Websites

PROVIDENCE, RI -- Small businesses can get help improving their bottom line at a free workshop from Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis and the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC).

Gil Lantini of Focus Business Solutions will present “Websites 101” Thurs., July 28, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at RIEDC, 315 Iron Horse Way, Ste. 101, Providence.

The workshop will explore creating a web strategy, gaining better visibility by using low-cost Internet promotional tools, analyzing web traffic and transitioning from traditional marketing budgets to the Interest.

“If you are a small business owner or an entrepreneur, I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity. We have an experienced team of consults ready to show you how to help your business take off,” said Mollis.

The workshop is co-sponsored by the Greater Cranston Chamber of Commerce and the North Central Chamber of Commerce.

The Secretary of State’s office works with almost every company registered to do business in Rhode Island -- 60,000 in all. The office oversees recording commercial liens, protecting corporate trademarks and providing advice to start-up businesses.

Secretary of State Mollis is committed to making it easier for Rhode Islanders to vote, helping businesses grow and making government more open and accessible. For more information about the workshop or to register for the workshop, call 222-2185 or businessinfo@sos.ri.gov.
