Secretary of State Mollis, RIEDC Offer Free Business Workshops

PROVIDENCE, RI -- Anyone with a good idea for a great business can get advice about how to take their concept to the next level at two free workshops this month from Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis and the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC).

“Whether you have an existing small business or are just starting out both of these workshops for you. Where else can you get free legal advice and internet marketing tips at no cost?” said Mollis.

Elizabeth Tanner of Tanner Law Ltd. will present “Business Entity Formation,” Wed., August 24, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at RIEDC, 315 Iron Horse Way, Ste. 101, Providence.

Businesses can discover the factors to consider while determining the most advantageous legal structure for their company and review the differences between a limited liability company and an "S" corporation.

Gil Lantini of Focus Business Solutions will present “Internet Marketing for Small Business,” Thurs., Aug. 25, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the RIEDC, 315 Iron Horse Way, Ste. 101, Providence.

This workshop will explore how search engines work, cover ways to gain better website visibility by utilizing both free and paid methods and how to transition from traditional marketing budgets to the Internet.

To register for the free workshops, contact RIEDC at 278-9100, x212, or lbassett@riedc.com.
