ARREST LOCATION: EAST PROVIDENCE
At 9:50 A.M., Trooper arrested Jason Mathias, age 29, of 41 Cottage Street, Central Falls on a Sixth Division District Court warrant for failure to appear for ability to pay on an original charge of Driving with a Suspended License out of the East Providence Police Department. The arrest as the result of information gathered from a Constable who was serving the subject with a subpoena and Trooper Alboum responding to So Fresh So Clean, Mr. Mathias' place of employment. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Intake Service Center.
ARREST LOCATION: PROVIDENCE
At 10:20AM, Trooper arrested Luis Portorreal, age: 20 of 64 Waverly Stret, 2nd Floor, Providence, RI for Possession of Marijuana. Arrest result of a motor vehicle stop on Greenwich Avenue in the city of Providence. The subject was transported to the barracks for processing and later released after being arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
ARREST LOCATION: PROVIDENCE
At 2;25pm, Trooper arrested James Nichols , age 49, of 203 Sumner Avenue, Warwick RI for a Third District Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on a Suspended License charge from the Warwick Police Department. Nichols was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Intake Service Center. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Potters Avenue at Eddy Street in the City of Providence.
ARREST LOCATION: PAWTUCKET
At 2:58 AM, Troopers arrested Derrick Azevedo, age 25, of 63 Clews Street, Pawtucket for 1.) Driving Under the Influence – BAC Unknown, 2.) Chemical Test Refusal. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 South in Pawtucket and subsequent follow up investigation at Rhode Island Hospital.
ARREST LOCATION: PROVIDENCE
At 7:00 A.M., Troopers arrested Brandon J. Mitchell, age 19, of 136 Fisk Street 3rd, Providence for Driving Without Consent of Owner. The subject was arrested at his residence after a follow-up investigation of a delayed inquiry hit notification of a stolen motor vehicle that he had been operating earlier in the morning. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later released after being arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
