Secretary of State Mollis, RIEDC Offer Small Businesses More Help This Month

PROVIDENCE, RI – Secretary of State A. Ralph Mollis and the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation are offering two more workshops this month to help small businesses improve their bottom line.

"In these challenging times, we are doing everything we can to help the economy grow. Going to these workshops is like bringing on consultants for the day," said Mollis.

Gil Lantini of Focus Business Solutions will present "Internet Marketing for Small Business" Mon., Nov. 28, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at RIEDC, 315 Iron Horse Way, Suite 101, Providence, R.I.

The workshop is co-sponsored by the Greater Cranston Chamber of Commerce and the North Central Chamber of Commerce.

Discover low cost ways to increase website traffic, explore how search engines work and learn ways to gain better website visibility by utilizing both free and paid methods.

David Lucier of Lucier CPA and John Polumbo of Strategic Sales will present "Business Accelerator" Wed., Nov. 30, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 875 Centerville Rd., Building 2, Unit 5, Warwick.

This workshop will review the top 10 pitfalls of running a small business, pricing strategies to retain customers and grow margins, marketing strategies and tax management issues.
