Hope Valley Barracks

At 11:49AM, Troopers arrested Roger M. Dias, age 22, of 73 Jenks Street, Central Falls, on two bench warrants: 1. 4th DC-Failure to appear for Payment Review-Suspended License-SKPD & 2. 6th DC-Failure to appear-Arraignment-Suspended License-SPLW Barracks. Result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of Richmond. The subject was returned to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and turned over to the sheriffs at 4th DC.

At 11:50AM, Troopers arrested Edward Hammond, age 24, of 35 Pardons Wood Lane, East Greenwich for 1.) Reckless Driving/Eluding, 2.) Leaving the Scene of Accident/Damage to Attended Vehicle, 3.) Obstruction, 4.) Violation of No Contact Order, 5.) Resisting Arrest and 6.) Operating after suspension. The arrest was the result of Hammond eluding a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 at Exit 8 and being involved in a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Quaker Lane and Division Street in the Town of East Greenwich, and fleeing on foot. Troopers apprehended the subject within the woodline behind Panera Bread. Mr. Hammond was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, transported to 3rd District Court for arraignment, and to be presented as a probation violator.

At 11:50AM, Troopers arrested Christina Buck, age 21, of 22 Juniper Drive, Ashaway for Obstruction of an Officer in Execution of Duty. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Quaker Lane and Division Street in the Town of East Greenwich. Ms. Buck fled from an accident scene and was apprehended by Trooper inside the BankRI at the intersection of Quaker Lane and Division St in East Greenwich. Ms. Buck was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and then taken to 3th District Court for arraignment.

At 5:15PM, Troopers arrested Jeffrey Guzman, age 27, of 210 Calla Street Providence, RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear / Ability to Pay on the original charge of Possession of Marijuana – 1st Offense originating from the State Police Wickford Barracks. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, posted bail in front of the Justice of Peace and released.

At 5:15PM, Troopers arrested David Taveras, age 20, of 86 Colfax Street Apt. 2 Providence, RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear / Ability to Pay on the original charge of Possession of Marijuana – 1st Offense originating from the State Police Wickford Barracks. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, posted bail in front of the Justice of Peace and released.

11:15 PM, Troopers arrested Jose M. Cordas, age 61, of 261 Warren Avenue, East Providence for Driving Under the Influence – 1st Offense – B.A.C. Phase one .169, Phase two .159. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the Town of Exeter. Subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

At 1:03 AM, Troopers arrested Calvin J. Young, age 25, of 250 Smithfield Road, North Providence for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on an original charge of Driving with an Expired License originating out of the Central Falls Police Department. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Tiogue Avenue in the Town of Coventry. Subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
