At 2:40PM Troopers arrested Brian Buckley, age 50, of 23 Scenic Drive, Smithfield, RI for a 4th District Court Bench Warrant for Failure To Appear for an Ability To Pay Hearing for the charge of DUI – 1st Offense, BAC Unknown, originating out of the North Kingstown Police Department. Buckley was processed and transported to the ACI Intake Services Center after being unable to post the cash bail. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 10 at Elmwood Avenue during a traffic enforcement detail.
At 4:14 PM, Troopers arrested Steven A. Chouinard, age 35, of 655 North Main St. #6 Fall River, MA for 1) Possession of Heroin and 2) Sixth District Court warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on an original suspended license charge. The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 195 East in the City of East Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing, arraigned and released.
At 4:14 PM, Troopers arrested Ronald G. Chouinard, age 37, of 372 Pine St. #9 Fall River, MA for 1) Possession of Heroin (1 oz- 1 kilo) 2) Possession of Heroin with the Intent to Deliver 3) Possession of Schedule I-V (Diazepam) 4) Weapons other than Firearms (knife over 3"). The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 195 East in the City of East Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing, arraigned and turned over to the ACI Intake Center.
At 11:45 PM, Troopers arrested Yonaiby Whatts, age 21, of 29 Ford Street, Providence for a Sixth District Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on a charge of Operating on a Suspended License. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Ford Street. Mr. Whatts was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and arraigned.
At 1:00 AM, Troopers arrested Michael Sullivan, age 28, of 360 Weeden Street, Pawtucket, RI for a 1.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on a charge of Operating Without / Expired License from the State Police Wickford Barracks. 2.) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on a charge of Operating on a Suspended License from the State Police Scituate Barracks. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the City of Pawtucket. Sullivan was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later transported to the ACI Intake.
At 2:30 AM, Troopers arrested Dammon McLaren, age 32, of 10 Oneida Avenue Brockton, MA for 1.) Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence BAC 0.15 or greater. The first phase of the chemical test successfully yielded a BAC of 0.373. The second phase of the chemical test successfully yielded a BAC of 0.384. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the City of Providence. McLaren was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.
