On May 3, 2012, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, along with Westerly Police, arrested Kyle Coates, age 25, of 48 Second Street, Unit 1, Westerly, Rhode Island, on the following charges: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Transfer of Child Pornography. Mr. Coates was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks and transported to Fourth District Court. He was arraigned before the Honorable Judge Mary McCaffrey. Bail was set at $5,000 personal recognizance and included conditions of no contact with children under the age of 16 and no internet access.
On May 3, 2012, members of HIDTA arrested Heather Masterson, age 26, of 44 Margaret Street, 1st floor, Pawtucket, RI, for the following: 1) Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver; 2) Possession of Cocaine; 3) Possession of a Controlled Substance (Vicodin); 4) Possession of a Controlled Substance (Clonazepam). Ms. Masterson was transported to the Lincoln Barracks, processed, and brought to Sixth District Court where she was arraigned and held on $50,000 surety bail.
On May 3, 2012, members of HIDTA arrested Jean Masterson, age 47, of 18 Fruit Street, Pawtucket, RI, for the following: 1) Fugitive from Justice (Seekonk PD) Passing Forged Checks; 2) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Pay Fines on a Domestic Vandalism Charge; and 3) Superior Court Warrant for Violation of Suspended Sentence on a charge of Receiving Stolen Goods. Ms. Masterson was transported to the Lincoln Barracks, processed, and brought to Sixth District Court, where she was arraigned. She was ordered held on $50,000 double surety bail on a pending Fugitive Warrant.
On May 3, 2012, members of the Auto Theft Unit arrested Gelvinson Eduardo Martinez-Lara, age 26, of 15 Grosvenor Avenue, Providence, RI, for Identity Fraud and for Giving False Document to a Public Official. Martinez-Lara was processed and arraigned at State Police Headquarters. Due to an active ICE Immigration Detainer, Martinez-Lara was special arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and turned over to officials at the Adult Correctional Institutions.
