At 10:21 am Troopers arrested Virlyn L. Powell, age 22, of 594 Charles Street 2nd Floor Front Providence, RI for 1.) Sixth District Court warrant for failure to appear for ability to pay on 01/17/12 for operating a motor vehicle without a license originating out of Providence, RI. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Service Road #7 in the City of Providence. Powell was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and then turned over to Sixth District Court.
At 12:50 PM Troopers arrested Lisa Scorpio, age 49, of 130 Wendell Street, Providence, Rhode Island for 1) Operating on a Suspended License and 2) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on 04/05/2012 for operating with a suspended license originating out of the East Providence Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation that occurred on Route 95 north at Thurbers Avenue in the City of Providence. Scorpio was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and then turned over to Sixth District Court.
At 1:13PM Troopers arrested Diomede M. Mercado, age 37, of 19 Prince Street Warwick, RI for a Parole Board Warrant for Violation of Parole. This arrest was the result of the Lincoln Woods Barracks receiving a telephone call from The Rhode Island Parole Board advising they had Mercado in custody. Mercado was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.
At 3:45PM Troopers arrested Kevin Soscia, age 57, of 69 Columbus Boulevard, Cranston, RI on a Fourth District Court warrant for Failure to Appear / Ability to Pay on an original charge of Chemical Test for Intoxication out of the Department of Environmental Management. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Westminster Street at Cranston Street in the City of Providence. Soscia was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.
At 12:14AM Troopers arrested Jared Vandyke, age 24, of 119 Progress Street, Providence, RI for a Family Court Reciprocal Body Attachment Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Non-Support. Arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 East at Dean Street in the City of Providence. Vandyke was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.
At 2:00AM Troopers arrested Lillian Rivera, age 50, of 122 Mawney Street, Providence, RI for 1.) Operating on a Suspended License and 2) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on 10/19/2010 for Operating with a Suspended License originating out of the Cranston Police Department. This arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Arch Street in the City of Providence. Rivera was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women's Intake Center.
At 2:00AM Troopers arrested Denise Curtis, age 40, of 22 Wyatt Street, Providence, RI on a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for a Felony Domestic Assault from the Providence Police Department. Arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Arch Street in the City of Providence. Rivera was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women's Intake Center.
