ARREST LOCATION: PROVIDENCE
At 10:37 AM, Troopers arrested Robert Sumner, age 49, of 58 Friendship Street, Providence, RI for a 1) Family Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Non Support and 2) Family Court Reciprocal Body Attachment for Failure to Appear for Non-Support. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Manton Avenue, in the City of Providence. Subject was transported to Headquarters, processed and later turned over to the Sixth District Court for afternoon arraignments.
ARREST LOCATION: JOHNSTON
At 4:15 PM, Troopers arrested Jose A. Hernandez, age 42, of 30 West Drive Apartment 2C, Providence, RI for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay for the charge of Operating with a Suspended License originating out of the Lincoln Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 6, in the Town of Johnston. Subject was transported to Headquarters, processed and later turned over to the Adult Correction Institution's Intake Center.

At 6:45 PM, Troopers arrested Corey J. Arruda, age 24, of 295 Olney Street, Seekonk, MA for a Second District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for charges originating out of the Environmental Management Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 6, in the City of Providence. Subject was transported to Headquarters, processed and later turned over to the Adult Correction Institution's Intake Center.
ARREST LOCATION: JOHNSTON
At 7:30 PM Troopers arrested Steven J. Crossen, age 23 961 Main Street, Hope Valley for 1.) DUI 1st Offense. 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, 3.) Driving While in Possession of a Controlled Substance Sched I-IV (5 Counts). The arrest was the result of several 911 calls to the Barracks regarding a possible drunk driver and subsequent motor vehicle stop on Route 295 South in the Town of Johnston. Crossen was transported to Headquarters, processed, and held overnight pending arraignment at 3rd District Court.
