Final Report of the Providence County Grand Jury (Reported August 31, 2012)

Emmanuel Owusu-Mensah, DOB: 8/13/71 60 Russell Street Attleboro, MA P1/12-2481A

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Emmanuel Owusu-Mensah with one count of first degree sexual assault and one count of second degree sexual assault.

It is alleged that on or about January 17, 2012, Owusu-Mensah sexually assaulted an individual, with the assault being in the first and second degree.

The alleged incident occurred in Pawtucket, and the Pawtucket Police conducted the investigation. Owusu-Mensah was released on $25,000 bail with surety and a no-contact order with the victim is in place. He is scheduled to be arraigned on September 19, 2012 in Providence County Superior Court.

Peter Miranda, DOB: 9/20/93 1839 Meridian Street Fall River, MA P1/12-2482A

Cleveland Steford, DOB: 3/12/90 128 Woolsey Street Middletown, RI P1/12-2482B

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Peter Miranda and Cleveland Steford each with one count of first degree robbery, two counts of felony assault and one count of conspiracy. Miranda is also charged with one count of possession of a concealed knife.

It is alleged that on or about April 15, 2012, Miranda and Steford robbed an individual, with that robbery being in the first degree. It is further alleged that the co-defendants assaulted the victim with a dangerous weapon, a shod foot. It is also alleged that on or about the same date, Miranda and Steford assaulted a second victim, with that assault being in the first degree and resulting in serious bodily injury. It is alleged that Miranda and Steford conspired to commit robbery, and it is further alleged that Miranda was in possession of a concealed knife having a blade over three inches long.

The alleged events occurred in Providence and the Providence Police conducted the investigation. Bail for Miranda and Steford was set at $30,000 with surety. Both defendants are scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on September 19, 2012.

Eugene Johnson, DOB: 9/1/92 LKA: 141 Pomona Avenue Providence, RI P1/12-2483A

Hashim White, DOB: 10/8/89 406 Cahir Street Providence, RI P1/12-2483B

The Providence County Grand Jury reported out an indictment charging Eugene Johnson and Hashim White with one count each of second degree robbery and conspiracy. Johnson is also charged with one count of resisting arrest.

It is alleged that on or about June 29, 2012, Johnson and White conspired to and did rob an individual, with the robbery being in the second degree. It is further alleged that Johnson resisted arrest.

The alleged events occurred in Providence and Providence Police conducted the investigation.
