Second Juvenile Charged in Triple Homicide Waived out of Family Court

Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin announced that Family Court Judge Kathleen A. Voccola waived Russell Burrell (DOB: 9-24-95) out of Family Court, allowing Burrell to be tried as an adult for the July 30, 2012 murders of Shemeeka Barrows, Michael Martin, and Damien Colon.

After being waived, Burrell was brought to the Providence Police, processed and charged, and then brought before Rhode Island District Court to be formally arraigned.

Burrell is charged with three counts of murder, three counts of use of a firearm during a crime of violence and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery. He was ordered held without bail and remanded to the ACI. A bail hearing is scheduled for November 7, 2012

On Friday, Attorney General Kilmartin announced that Quandell Husband (DOB: 6/17/96) was waived out of Family Court and charged as an adult for the July 30, 2012 homicides. He is charged with three counts of murder, three counts of use of a firearm during a crime of violence and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery. He was ordered held without bail and remanded to the ACI. A bail hearing is scheduled for November 7, 2012.
