At 8:15 PM, Troopers while assigned to the Providence Neighborhood Response Team detail, arrested Karlief Bowman, age 26, of 118 Fountain Street, Providence for 1) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Arraignment on a charge of Possession of Controlled Substance – Schedule I-V originating from the Pawtucket Police, 2) Fourth District Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for an Ability to Pay Hearing on a charge of Driving after Suspension of License originating out of the Hopkinton Police Department. The arrest the result of a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Avenue in the City of Providence. Bowman was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and then transported to Adult Correctional Institution, Men's Intake Center.
At 8:45 PM, Troopers arrested Derrick Mitchell, age 24, of 62 Joslin Street, Providence RI, for 1.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Appear on a charge of Domestic Simple Assault, originating out of the Cranston Police Department, 2.) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay on 08/23/12 on a charge of Possession of Marijuana – 1st Offense, originating out of the Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Smithfield Avenue in the City of Pawtucket. Mitchell was then transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks to be processed and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.
