On December 18, 2012, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Carlos Ledee-Rodriguez, age 25, of 206 Pleasant Street #206, Pawtucket, RI, for the following: 1) Possession of Heroin, One Ounce to One Kilogram; 2) Possession of Heroin with Intent to Deliver; 3) Possession of Marijuana; and 4) Fugitive from Justice out of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, on an original charge of Sale of Sawed-Off Shotgun. Mr. Ledee-Rodriguez was arraigned in Sixth District Court and held without bail.
On December 18, 2012, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Nathaniel Lewis, age 21, of 99 Sacred Heart Avenue, Central Falls, RI, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of Providence Police for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Mr. Lewis was turned over to the Providence Police Department.
On December 18, 2012, a detective assigned to the ACI charged inmate Andre Dupree, age 22, having a last known address of 117 Lake Erie Street, Apartment B, Middletown, Rhode Island, with being a Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Inmate Dupree was wanted by the Fall River District Court for violation of probation on original charges of: 1) Assault with Dangerous Weapon/three (3) counts; 2) Larceny from Person/three (3) counts; and 3) Drug Violation near School/Park. Inmate Dupree appeared before the Honorable Judge Houlihan in Third Division District Court, where extradition proceedings were waived. Inmate Dupree was released on $5,000 personal recognizance to the custody of his attorney with the condition that he respond directly to Fall River District Court to answer to the aforesaid charges.
On December 18, 2012, a detective assigned to the ACI charged inmate Daniel L. Henriquez, age 53, having a last known address of 104 Allston Street, Providence, Rhode Island, with being a Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Inmate Henriquez was wanted by the Lynn District Court on a straight warrant for the following: Indecent Assault and Battery on a child under 14 years-of-age. Inmate Henriquez appeared before the Honorable Judge Houlihan in Third Division District Court, where extradition proceedings were waived. Inmate Henriquez was remanded to the Intake Service Center of the ACI to await Massachusetts authorities.
On December 18, 2012, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Jose Francisco Silverio Javier, alias Jose Silverio, age 51, of 532 Plainfield Street, 2nd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following offenses: Six (6) counts of Unlawful Appropriation over $1,000; Five (5) counts of Unlawful Appropriation under $1,000; Three (3) counts of Fraudulent Checks over $1,000; Four (4) counts of Fraudulent Checks under $1,000; Two (2) counts of Access to a Computer for Fraudulent Purposes; and One (1) count of Giving a False Document to a Public Official. Mr. Silverio was arrested at his residence, returned to the Lincoln Barracks for processing, and subsequently transported to Sixth District Court for arraignment before the Honorable Magistrate Joseph P. Ippolito. Mr. Silverio was held pending $20,000 bail with surety.
On December 18, 2012, a detective assigned to the ACI charged inmate Thomas L. Breaux, age 27, having a last known address of 303 Carolina Back Road, Charlestown, Rhode Island, with being a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Louisiana. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office had filed a detainer for inmate Breaux on a straight warrant for the following offenses: 1) Ten (10) counts of felony Carnal Knowledge ; 2) Two (2) counts of Obscenity; and 3) Three (3) counts of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. Inmate Breaux appeared before the Honorable Judge Houlihan in Third Division District Court, where extradition proceedings were not waived. Inmate Breaux was remanded to the Intake Service Center of the ACI where he was held without bail pending a waiver of extradition hearing scheduled for January 17, 2013.
On December 18, 2012, a detective assigned to the ACI charged inmate Paulo J. Soares, age 20, having a last known address of 63 West Avenue, 1st Floor, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, with Escape from Correctional Institutions. Inmate Soares was presented before the Honorable Judge Houlihan in Third Division District Court. Judge Houlihan set bail at $5,000 personal recognizance and scheduled a pre-arraignment conference for March 7, 2013. Inmate Soares was remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions to continue serving his controlling sentence for Vandalism.
On December 18, 2012, a detective assigned to the ACI charged Brandon M. James, age 18, a resident of the Training School, having a last known address of 57 Power Road, Cranston, Rhode Island, with two (2) counts of Simple Assault. Resident James appeared before the Honorable Judge Houlihan in Third Division District Court, where a not guilty plea was entered. Judge Houlihan set bail at $1,000 with surety and scheduled a pre-trial conference for December 24, 2012. Resident James was also presented as a District Court bail violator and was remanded to the custody of the Adult Correctional Institutions.
On December 18, 2012, members of the Auto Theft Unit arrested Allan A. Collazo, age 36, of 2030 Elmwood Avenue, Warwick, RI, for Filing a Fraudulent Document with a Public Official. Mr. Collazo was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and released on $1000 Personal Recognizance.
