At 11:50 AM, Troopers arrested Steven Moricas, age 51, of 12 Cheshire Street, Unit B, Providence, Rhode Island for: 1) Duty to Stop - Accident Resulting Damage to Attended Vehicle, 2) Operating with Suspended License, 3) Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty, and 4) Fourth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay, on the original charge of Driving After Suspension of License, originating out of the University of Rhode Island Police Department. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Connors, and released with future court dates after posting bail/paying fines associated with the bench warrant.
At 6:12 PM, Troopers arrested Matthew Gianquitti, age 33, of 168 Carpenter Road, Foster, RI for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs—1st Offense—BAC Unknown 2) Refusal To Submit To A Chemical Test. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
