DEM Set to Close on Purchase of Iconic Rocky Point Property on Thursday, March 28 at Warwick City Hall

Media Availability with State, Local and Federal Officials to be held in City Council Chambers immediately after the Closing

PROVIDENCE – The Department of Environmental Management will close on the purchase of the 82-acre Rocky Point property for the development of a future State Park on Thursday, March 28 at Warwick City Hall.

State, local and federal officials will be available to speak with media representatives in City Council Chambers at 10 a.m., immediately following the closing. Among those available will be DEM Director Janet Coit; Senator Jack Reed; Senator Sheldon Whitehouse; Congressman Jim Langevin; Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian; and District Director of the US Small Business Administration, Mark S. Hayward.
