Beaches Closed Due to High Bacteria Counts

The Department of Health (HEALTH) has determined water quality at Narragansett Town Beach, North Kingstown Town Beach, Oakland Beach, City Park Beach, and Barrington Town Beach to be unsuitable for swimming due to high bacteria counts. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the areas are safe for swimming.

The following licensed beaches remain closed to swimming: Goddard Memorial State Park Beach and Conimicut Point Beach in Warwick
