North Kingstown Beach Open and Sandy Point Beach Closed to swimming

HEALTH officials recommend re-opening North Kingstown Town Beach for swimming. This recommendation is based on results from water samples that show bacteria levels within acceptable limits. HEALTH will continue to monitor the water quality regularly to assure safe bathing throughout the summer season.

HEALTH officials recommended the closure of Sandy Point Beach to swimming due to high bacteria counts. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the area is safe for swimming.

The following licensed beaches remain closed to swimming due to high bacteria counts: Oakland Beach in Warwick. Officials will continue to monitor the water quality and recommend re-opening when the areas are safe for swimming. Water quality analysis is conducted by the HEALTH laboratory or a state certified laboratory.
