RIEMA Website Offers Listing of Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief Funds

The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) announces that a regularly updated list of federal funding opportunities for people who were impacted by Hurricane Sandy will be hosted on the Agency's website. To view the listings, visit http://www.riema.ri.gov/funding-opportunity/

"Although it has been more than six months since Sandy hit, there are still communities and businesses who need help," said Rhode Island Governor Lincoln D. Chafee. "By providing a centralized location that highlights any available federal disaster-relief funds, we hope that Rhode Islanders can focus their attention on applying for grants."

The Disaster Relief Appropriations Act of 2013 sets aside federal funds to assist states, communities, and businesses who were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Each grant announcement defines who is eligible to apply for funds and the deadline for application submission. Grant announcements will be added to the website as they become available.
