FEMA/RIEMA INSURANCE OUTREACH MEETING

SUBJECT: Washington County Meeting

The Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA) in coordination with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be hosting an Insurance Outreach Meeting to help answer questions related to the Biggert-Waters Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2012. The law reauthorized the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) through September 30, 2017.

The meeting date, time and location:

September 17, 2013 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. Narragansett Town Hall, Council Chambers 25 Fifth Avenue Narragansett, RI

FEMA and RIEMA representatives will be available to answer questions and review new coastal flood maps from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. A formal presentation will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m., followed by a question and answer session. All residents near or located in a designated FEMA floodplain are encouraged to attend.
