Traffic Advisory: Interstate Exit and Lane Closures Planned for Next Week

The following exit and lane closures are scheduled to take place on Rhode Island's Interstate highways from October 5-11, 2013. All schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change. Follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/RIDOTNews for up-to-the-minute travel information.

Interstate Highway Restrictions

Exit and Ramp Closures

Providence: I-95 North, at Exit 22 B (Rtes. 6 & 10 West), exit closed for barrier installation and striping during the early morning hours Tuesday from 1-4 a.m. Follow signed detour.

Providence: I-95 North, at Exit 22 (Downtown/Rtes. 6 & 10/Providence Place Mall), exit closed for highway lighting installation during the early morning hours Wednesday-Friday from 1-4 a.m. Follow signed detour.

Lane Closures

Exeter: I-95 North and South, from Exit 4 (Rte. 3) to Exit 5 (Rte. 102), left lanes closed for steel placement, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.

Warwick: I-95 North and South, from Exit 9 (Rte. 4) to Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.), alternating lane closures for construction, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Roads above or below the bridges also may have intermittent lane closures.

Warwick: I-95 North and South, between Exit 11 (I-295) and Exit 13 (Airport Connector), alternating lane closures for a bridge inspection, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following day:

Wednesday night: I-95 North

Thursday night: I-95 South
