AG Kilmartin to "Give a Pint" at Mobile Blood Drive at AG's Office for National Blood Donor Month

Kilmartin challenges fellow General Officers to roll up their sleeves and donate to support the RI Blood Center

AG's Office to host mobile blood drive this Thursday, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. -- Public encouraged to stop by and donate, get coupon for lb. of Dunkin' Donuts Coffee

Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin is rolling up his sleeve to support the Rhode Island Blood Center during National Blood Donor Month. At a mobile blood drive hosted at the Office of Attorney General on Thursday, January 9th, Attorney General Kilmartin will donate a pint to help save lives. Kilmartin is also issuing a challenge to his fellow General Officers to join him in donating a pint of blood during the blood drive at the Attorney General's Office.

Kilmartin is scheduled to donate at 11:00 a.m. The mobile blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, January 9th, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The public is also encouraged to stop by to make a donation. As an added incentive, Dunkin' Donuts has partnered with the RI Blood Center where each donor will receive a coupon for a pound of Dunkin' Donuts coffee.

When: Thursday, January 9, 2014 Blood drive is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Kilmartin is scheduled to donate blood at 11:00 a.m.

Kilmartin has challenged his fellow General Officers to join him at 11:00 a.m. in donating a pint of blood for the RI Blood Center.

National Blood Donor Month was initiated in January 1970 to help assure a safe and adequate blood supply at a time of year when blood collection is typically more difficult because of school vacations, holidays, inclement weather and illness.
