Traffic Advisory: Interstate Lane and Shoulder Closures Planned for Next Week

The following lane and shoulder closures are scheduled to take place on Rhode Island's Interstate highways from February 22-28, 2014. All schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change. Follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/RIDOTNews for up-to-the-minute travel information.

Interstate Highway Restrictions

Lane Closures

Providence: I-95 North, between the highway and Park St., just north of Hayes St., right lane closed for guardrail work, Sunday night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.

Providence: I-95 South, from Exit 23 (Rte. 146) to Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.), alternating lane closures in a moving operation for sign installation, Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.

Shoulder Closures

Expect shoulder closures for survey work, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following locations. Updates will be provided throughout the week as necessary:

Exeter and Richmond: I-95 North at Rte. 165 (Ten Rod Rd.) and Switch Rd.

Lincoln, Smithfield and Johnston: I-295 South at Rte. 126 (Old River Rd.), Rte. 5 (Greenville Ave.), and Rte. 12 (Scituate Ave.)

Cranston and West Warwick: I-295 North, at Rte. 116, Rte. 14 (Plainfield Pike), and Rte. 33 (Providence St.)
