State House Dome Illuminated Blue in Support of Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

In an effort to raise awareness about colorectal cancer, Governor Lincoln D. Chafee has proclaimed March 2014 as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month – a national movement to increase awareness and education about colorectal cancer and to spread the message that colorectal cancer is preventable, treatable and beatable. Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month will be observed throughout March and will include events and outreach activities nationwide. In recognition of March's designation as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, the Rhode Island State House will be lit in blue from March 3-10, 2014.
