Interstate Highway Restrictions
Ramp and Exit Closures
Providence: The on-ramps from Memorial Blvd. West and Rtes. 6/10 East to I-95 South will be closed for construction at the Providence Viaduct, Monday-Friday from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. Expect noise and vibrations. Follow signed detour using I-95 North.
Providence: Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.) off of I-95 South will be closed for construction at the Providence Viaduct, Tuesday and Wednesday from midnight to 6 a.m. the following day. Expect noise and vibrations. Follow signed detour using Exit 22 (Downtown Providence/Rtes. 6 & 10).
Lane Closures
Cumberland: I-295 North, from Exit 11 Rte. 114/Diamond Hill Rd.) to the Massachusetts state line, left lane and shoulder closures for construction, Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Pawtucket: I-95 South, from Exit 30 (East St.) to Exit 29 (Cottage St./Broadway), right lane closed for sign work, Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The right shoulder will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Providence: I-95 North, from Exit 20 (Point St.) to Exit 22 (Downtown Providence/Rtes. 6 & 10), right lane closed for construction at the Providence Viaduct, Sunday-Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day. Expect noise and vibrations.
Providence: I-95 South, from Exit 19 (Eddy St.) to Exit 18 (Thurbers Ave.), alternating lane closures for a bridge inspection, Tuesday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Providence: I-95 North, from Exit 18 (Thurbers Ave.) to Exit 20 (Point St.), right shoulder closed for landscaping, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Smithfield: I-295 South, from Exit 9 (Rte. 146) to Exit 8 (Rte. 7), right lane closure in a moving operation for pothole patching, Monday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Warwick: I-95 North, just north of Exit 8 (Rte. 2), alternating lane and shoulder closures for survey work, Monday and Tuesday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Warwick: I-295 South at Exit 2 (Rte. 2), the exit ramp will be narrowed for construction, Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
West Greenwich: There will be survey work in the median areas on I-95 North and South at Exit 5 (Rte. 102), Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please use caution when traveling through the area.
