Traffic Advisory: Interstate Exit and Lane Closures Planned for Next Week

The following exit and lane closures are scheduled to take place on Rhode Island's Interstate highways from June 28-July 3, 2014. All schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change. Follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/RIDOTNews for up-to-the-minute travel information.

Interstate Highway Restrictions

Oversized Truck Detour

Exeter: An oversized truck detour is in effect on I-95 North and South from Exit 4 (Rte. 3) to Exit 5 (Rte. 102). Oversized vehicles must temporarily detour to Rte. 3 to safely bypass I-95.

Exit Closure

Providence: Exit 22 (Downtown Providence/Routes 6 & 10) off of I-95 South will be closed for construction, Sunday night from midnight to 6 a.m. the following day. Use Exit 21 (Atwells Ave.) as a detour.

Overnight

East Providence: I-195 East, from Exit 8 (Rte. 6) to the Massachusetts state line, alternating lane closures for survey work, Wednesday night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.

Hopkinton-Richmond: Expect delays in a moving operation for crack sealing on I-95 North from the Connecticut state line to Exit 4 (Rte. 3), Sunday and Monday nights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.

Hopkinton-Warwick: Expect alternating lane closures in a moving operation for roadway striping on I-95, from the Connecticut state line to Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.), including its ramps, Sunday-Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.

Weekday

Warwick: I-95 South, from Exit 10 (Rte. 117) to Exit 9 (Rte. 4), right shoulder closed for sign work, Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
